Design Services for PATCO Philadelphia Tunnel Cable and Substation Equipment Replacement
This Project addresses the replacement of various cables running primarily within thePhiladelphia, PA tunnel of the PATCO system as well as traction-power equipment within the LocustStreet Substation, located in the area of the PATCO tunnel, below the concourse level and directlyunder Locust Street. Some portions of the cabling to be replaced run along the Philadelphia approach of the Benjamin
Franklin Bridge (“BFB”) before entering the PATCO tunnel. Locust Street substation is fed at 13.2 KV for traction power via circuits 301 and 302.
